Civil War Soldiers - Geary or Gary Family Civil War Soldiers

From the blood soaked plains of Manassas, to the smoke filled skies of Atlanta, and finally to the tear filled eyes at Appomattox. For four of the bloodiest years in the history of this Republic the war raged. It started as Yanks and Rebs, it ended as "Americans!!" More than 600,000 men gave their lives for their country in this war. This is more lives lost in one war than in all wars and conflicts combined following this period in time. For more detailed information on the Civil War, visit The American Civil War Home Page. Battle Summaries can be found here.
