Would you like to submit details on someone to be included in one of our four WorldConnect databases? Start by filling in our online Family Group Sheet and we'll take it from there. Details on those individuals who may still be living will NOT be published online.

Would you like some help with the design and layout of your genealogy site? I am willing to work with you on setting up the design and layout of your genealogy website. Why? Because I enjoy doing it. See some examples of sites I have helped with. I do this on a volunteer basis so may occasionally have to limit the amount of time I can spend with you. If interested, contact Pat.

Jacob Geary - Civil War Soldier Jacob Geary

Jacob Geary was born 10 Feb 1847, the son of Adam Gary and Susan Nicklow. Jacob enlisted as a soldier in the Civil War at the age of 17 in Company E, 107th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He served in several Virginia battles. He was discharged June 1865 in Washington, DC. During the war he suffered from exposure to the cold and was treated repeatedly for rheumatism, deafness of the left ear, and chronic diarrhea. In 1890, he was declared almost totally disabled because of his wartime service, and received a federal pension.

If anyone has copies of Jacob's pension file, I would be happy to include it.
